Department of Cell Biology

Our department brings together scientists and teachers whose goal is to make substantive contributions to the field of Cell Biology and to transmit important scientific information to medical and graduate students. Our scope of research is broad, ranging from studies of subcellular organelles in cells, development and maintenance of animal tissues, nervous system function, and various diseases caused by defects in basic cellular function.

The Department of Cell Biology is fully operational in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. However, with the on-going renovation of the Medical Science Building several faculty members and their labs have been temporarily relocated to other parts of the Medical Center complex. The directory can be viewed HERE (PDF).
